Well, I don't want to spoil too much, but giving up the alien isn't the right solution either. You'll need him for later in the quest, but you'll need a way to activate him, which only the Anointed can provide.

Hey thanks for the mod, adds a lot of life to this great old game. I've noticed a few things:
- splash screen still says 4.6
- sometimes enemy boarders "glitch", can't seem to decide where to go and just spin in place
- I just got the quest that adds MAJOO to the crew twice in the same sector, shouldn't it be unique?
- Similarly I got the awesome green beam weapon (forgot the name) twice in the same sector

Yeah, I forget to update the splash a lot, it's an easy enough fix anyways.
Ooj thing is broken in that it loops infinitely, it's been reported and it'll be fixed in the next update. Not sure what you mean about the beam though. If you're referring to the cyclopian, that's definitely not supposed to happen. How did you get it twice? It only appears at site delta, did multiple site deltas spawn for you?
Boarder ai is a hyperspace thing, it does sometimes tend to freak out. I'm not entirely sure what about it breaks them, but you'll probably want to shoot it their way anyways.

Sorry I can't recall the name of the beam weapon, but I think it was found at a Ruins beacon.

I just updated to 4.7 (from 4.3) and every ship except for one (MEV-145) is now locked. Is this right? It seems a bit extreme as I was enjoying playing through all of the ships and only updated as one or two crashes had happened in my latest run. I thought I followed installation instructions to the letter but have I done something wrong?
Thanks in advance - love the mod, by the way. Can't play vanilla anymore!

Yes, this is entirely intentional. Version 4.6 was a massive update that added unlock conditions for every single ship in the mod - something which was impossible to do beforehand (so all ships beyond the first page started unlocked).
I understand if unlocking everything again like in vanilla isn't your cup of tea though. You can use the console (press L in-game) and type SHIP ALL (in all caps like that) and it'll unlock every ship when you return to the hangar. Do note that this is permanent though and can only be done by resetting your entire save (which only affects MV anyways, vanilla will be untouched)

Thanks for the quick reply. To be honest, this is actually awesome. I missed the patch notes for 4.6 so just wanted to know everything is working as intended. My one concern would be that a future update might be large enough to reset everything again, but it sounds like any unlocking I do between now and then will be permanent, right? If so, I'm looking forward to slowly progressing through a ship list that probably expands faster than I can conquer it! Thanks again

Yeah, ship unlocks will stay consistent. Luckily, its stored by ship ID (which we don't change), so even if I do things like move ships to other pages they stay unlocked if you have them.
The only case where a ship might lock again is if a dynamic unlock (only example of this I can think of is the ships that requiring certain other ships to be unlocked) updates to include a ship you don't have, but that's only happened once so far (Radiant Cruiser previously only required shell cruiser A/B/C, but with 4.7 it also requires the Shell Scientist Cruiser A/B/C as well)
