Because there's no way someone would ever get two Burst Laser II's in a row.

I know I once got a Heavy Laser on Hard after boarding and killing a Mantis ship, followed by a Holy Crap which gave me an Ion Blast, followed by a friendly programmer giving me a Defense Drone I schematic, followed by landing on a Pulsar where I got killed by a Rebel ship with beam drones.

I mean, that in the first one, I got a Ion Blast, in the second one I got a BL 2, and in the third one I got a BL 2.

Depending on how far I've gone in the game. Early-game, I'd be "Holy crap!"
Late-game, I'd be like... "Cool"

Hard difficulty on the Stealth B, and in my first battle the other guy surrenders, and part of that package is the Weapon Pre-Igniter. Yeah, the game kinda gets a little bit too easy after that...

I've had it happen. I've gotten a free sector-1 ingiter twice and one of those times was with a DA-SR 12. I gotta tell you it literally changes the game. NOTHING in sectors 1 or 2 can touch you. Even those scouts that take 2 shots, you just slice once, cloak, and slice again.

Holy Crap that's lucky and rare. I have never had that happen and only had the igniter a handful of times.

Rebel flagship is gun git rekt.

Hehe I didn't take a pic but I just faced the flagship with my dream loadout: 2 flaks and a pre-igniter. The only thing I wanted but was missing was 2 automatic reloaders. I had 2 scrap recovery arms instead, which made buying everything else quite easy

Phase 1 he died before he could fire the second missile volley. Phase 2 he died before the drones came out. Phase 3 he managed to do 2 damage to me before exploding.

It was glorious.
