Wouldn't really be hitting the character limit, but it'd save having to go through each ship mod to find out if I can use it or not.

The list is updated. Ship mods now note which ship is being replaced which will come in handy for those who are unlocking new ships. Unsurprisingly most shipmods replace the Kestrel because everyone has that. Another often modded ship is the Vortex (Engi B), because people who have terrible taste find it a bad ship. On the opposite side of the coin, the least replaced ships are the Crystals (because noone has them). Federation, Zoltan and Mantis cruisers are rarely replaced with the rest somewhere in the middle.

There's also a few updates and additions but i lost track of them

Anyone know where I can find the mod that shows the routes to other beacons after hovering your cursor over a beacon on the map? I remember seeing it somewhere but can't seem to find it.

That's not a mod. It's an option in the game. Check your settings/options screen.

If you don't have that, upgrade your game. It's been available for 6 months or so now so wherever you got it should have it.
