Maybe you loaded too many mods? Mods can conflict with one another so try to select only one mod when patching FTL with GMM.

Another cause could be this mod conflicting with a new version of FTL.

That said, the mod is salvageable, but the author would have to modify it so that it doesn't replace whole archives, only the necessary files.

How does one go about downgrading FTL?

You'd have to re-install it from the DRM-free installer (Steam will pull the up-to-date version) and apply individual patches up to the point to which you want to downgrade. It should be possible to find them individually via Google ("FTL patch 1.03.1 download" etc)
If you're using Steam, you'll have to disable automatic patching for the game (should be somewhere in the options)

I saved my current version of latest FTL and moved the 1.03.1 patch version into my FTL folder so GMM could work it's magic. I was able to get in game but crashed after receiving a drone as reward for killing an enemy. I'll play around with it some more and maybe compile a list of crash causing events to avoid or maybe to be fixed later on.

please update this mod it is amazing and im really bummed about this mod not working . for me the game crashes when i go play and im assuming that it is caused due to it not being the currant version so please update.

Since I have nothing better to do and may as well practice my xml coding while SP gets updated, I shall attempt to update this mod to AE!

I haven't even played this mod before!

You sound exactly like me ;P

The game runs, it just has a bunch of graphical bugs which dont affect gameplay.

I aint no artist, someone else fix this.
