i wish i could get the up to date version of balanced arsenal but since its in with a bunch of other mods i cant, sometimes i wonder if it would of so hard for them to make it modular *sigh*

Is a GUI overhaul in the works or something? Honestly, I think that'd be a pretty cool addition to an already awesome mod.

What would a "GUI overhaul" consist of, exactly?

(FYI: I'm a programmer, so I'm not asking you at the level of what the definition of GUI is.)

Says "captain" twice, "captain" should probably be capitalized, maybe with a comma after "incoming". "of" should be "off".

"That" might be better as "this", "mobs" should be "mops", and "already" is an unnecessary word.

I'm not sure what could cause this, but using the "socialize with your crew" events with human crewmembers sometimes has Engi crewmember results.
I've only tested this in the starting sector, easy way to see it for yourself is to just restart a lot with the Kestrel A and socialize in the starting beacon until you get something Engi-related.

Again, sorry if this was already reported.

Although it would be nice if this was modular it would be a sort of difficult and tedious process. Especially retroactively. Honestly though I don't know what you would want to take out of the Captains Edition. Everything it adds is really good and diversifies the game.

Although it would be nice for other modders if Sleeper could make seperate XML.Append files for every big "100th digit" update. But I realize even that can be difficult

Sorry to hear that. I might imagining circumventing this to be too easy, but does FoxyProxy work there? You can get free anonymous proxy IPs from hidemyass.com and use them with this Firefox-addon to get around some blocks. At last this worked for me in Turkey... If this doesn't work I'll supply a alternate mirror.

If anything is blocked by the GFW, then proxies.
Maybe he can provide a chinese filehoster to mirror it?

Btw, dropbox is blocked there, too AFAIK.

Not entirely correct - few of my Chinese friends use exactly that (proxies) to go-around GFW. I can hardly imagine *any* software that would block *all* proxies, considering how many new ones appear every day. I suspect they're blocking more popular/easier findable ones (like, monitoring few first pages of search engine's results of proxy-finder sites, and automatically adding proxies listed there to blacklist).

But, be careful out there, we don't want to see you getting in troubles with Big Brother just for the sake of downloading CE. It's not that you're bypassing pesky ISP in Europe - from my limited knowledge, doing so in China can (rarely, but still) get you in *serious* problems, if done carelessly. Especially, if someone would accidentally use same proxy for, let's say, searching for ^ T ^ i ^ a ^ n ^ a ^ n ^ m ^ e ^ n | ^ S ^ q ^ u ^ a ^ r ^ e ^ * ^ ^ at the time of your downloading, and it would, somehow, surface to Bad Guys knowledge.
