My apologies; this may have been mentioned elsewhere and I just missed it...

Updating the game from the website (as I bought it direct from the website initially) seems to do a complete redownload. If I do this, will I lose ships I have unlocked to this point?

Also, I now see the option to activate my game on steam - if I activate there and let steam update it, is it essentially starting over also?

I've got A and B of all ships except the slug and crystal, and don't really want to lose that - but DO want to play the latest versions!


edit: nm, I think I successfully activated on steam and updated there, and it appears my achievements/unlocks are intact, so I think I'm good!

Achievements and unlocked ships are saved in a folder separate from the game installation, so there is no trouble upgrading the game, or switching to the Steam version.

However! Be warned that it sometimes happens that the game crashes, and this may corrupt the achievements and unlocked ships file, making you lose all your progress!

Since it matters to you, I strongly suggest you locate the prof.sav file and make copies of it regularly.

Version 1.02.7 is released ? But still 1.02.6 on there GOG :/

Version 1.02.6 for OS X is up and ready for download. I know because I just checked my GOG account and there was an update to the game
