"About a crate..." Lux said "Maybe two if we can fit it in the runabout. The message isn't 100% clear for security reasons. But considering the Rockmen, they're bound to be big and heavy. That's why Eden brought one of the lifters from the Pelican."
Sitting nearby was a cargo exoskeleton. It was a bipedal machine that was painted in bright yellow and covered with flashing lights. The machine had the strength of a Rockman but was slower, less manoeuvrable and not as durable. "Didn't you say you once went a joyride with a cargo lifter back at your home colony?"

Think of those lifting suits from Aliens. Probably every large ship and space colony had one or two. The Pelican probably has a few as well.

The runabout was approaching Numa II. Like most Rock planets in the system, it seemed to be a vast desert with cities dotting the landscape, connected by underground tunnels.
"Well, I don't know much about the Grand Inquisition either" Lux said to Kyrie "In Captain Awesome, they were a bunch of fanatics who would unexpectedly board Red-Tail on occasion with their signature catchphrase."
She stood up and posed dramatically "Nobody expects the Grand Inquisition!"
Lux then awkwardly sat back down "They were sometimes the villains of the episode and at other times they teamed up to fight some threat or another. You could tell it was going to be a fun episode when you saw the red ships appearing the opening."

I think I'll keep my events a secret and come back with some changes and maybe a funny story, something to lighten the mood

"It was more like a joy-slow walk. That thing was so slow I got caught on the way out of the shipping depot. I thought they were so much faster." Kyrie got up and walked over to look at it closer. "The controls are how I remember them, even though that was back before the academy." Lux started talking about the Grand Inquisition again and Kyrie looked over when she stood up suddenly. "Well I hope they're our friends this time."

"The Pelican was considered old back when it was infected" Lux said "The rust is hard to tell from the blood at times."
The runabout settled in at a nearby dock on the surface of Numa II. As they went over the docking procedures, Lux said to Kyrie "Well, here we are... now the crate should be..."
The rear doors opened up and three Rockmen burst into the cramped runabout, carrying nothing but their powerful fists.
"Grand Inqusition!" the lead Rockman shouted. They all wore long flowing red uniforms and very obvious wide-brimmed hats. A large book was chained around his neck.
"We have received reports about a smuggling operation of heretical materials was being carried out on this planet... and you have been found guilty of these crimes" His eyes glowed brighter "What else would you like to confess before we take you away for interrogation?"
Lux looked nervously towards Kyrie.

“Uhhhh... we uhhh. Umm... No?” Kyrie was caught off guard by the rockmen bursting in. “I mean, no there’s nothing.” The rocks grabbed them both and marched them off the runabout, heading toward a red painted ship. “You will be interrogated and then punished according to the holy words. There will be no ‘appeal’ or whatever you humans say. You are now prisoners of the Grand Inquisition.”

"There is one thing I would like to confess though" Lux said as they were now within the docks.
The Inqusitor stopped, curious as to hear this "confession." The other Cardinals however seemed to look disappointed.
"Make it quick and it better not be one of those false confessions you repugnant aliens make to sound defiant" the Inquisitor added.
"Uhhh... well you see my ummm... before we landed, she injected me with the V-Virus!" she shouted dramatically, pointing at Kyrie.
The Inquisitor immediately let go and quickly backed away as if he was struck with a sudden bout of fear. The other Cardinals looked confused.
"Stay away you imbeciles!" the Inquisitor said to his ship's entourage "By the gods! Lock down the docks immediately! It's too late for us!"
Even Lux seemed surprised at what just happened. I didn't think that worked outside of television! she thought to herself before whispering to Kyrie "Run!"

Rockmen may have robust immune systems but as we all know from abandoned station events, they can be easily torn apart by crazed cannibals or die of some infection. And worst of all, you can't purge it with fire because Rockmen can take the heat.

He was sitting over in a nice building, seems the arguement was between two rock families, an arranged marriage going awry...

"...she refuses to marry my son, if you can't get that girl to see the light my family will make sure yours never gains enough clout with the Holy Order" one called out

"And I say according to the writings of Saint Regema that a female is allowed to find true love and happiness which strengthens the bond of the family she creates" the other called out

Bren and Gorlag were sitting at a table sighing

"So both sides have compelling arguements" Bren muttered looking over the notes he was provided, they were happy to have a Zoltan involved, what with their legalise and their federation support, good thing Bren didn't mention he wasn't a lawyer or things might go south when he was ambushed by some rocks with powerful missiles.

He looked at both people, the Rock Girl, Grometa, a pretty slim Rock girl, chiseled in the right ways one would say, certainly looked tough too, he bet she could rip a piece of hull right out of his ship. Seems she didn't like who she was forced to marry for political clout around their Holy Order

The man to marry, clearly a jerk, someone who only agreed to do this because Grometa was pretty, he was the one who threatened Bren with death by his new missile his father bought him. Clearly a man born with a silver spoon.

He sighed again.

Gremta looked at Bren and smiled

Gorlag blinked a bit and whispered to Bren something and Bren's eyes widened in horror....no way....

Things were about to get worse

Jake closed his eyes and moaned. He had been working on the Engi med bot carp for a while now, and everythibg looked spent. The atomic rearager was spent. The assembly circuitry was fried. The nano flow tubes were full of holes.

"This is never gonna work," He said into the empty room. Suddenly, Sarah appeared - and images of the exploding Lanius ships flickered through Jake's mind, before fading away.

"Need a hand?" She asked, smiling.

"Bleh... This system is shot..." He said, lying back onto the deck plating and staring at the gray ugly ceiling of the hanger. He shut his eyes from the blinding flood lights.

He heard Sarah's voice echo from a few yards away. "The Lanius can reshape these circuits. They could have it repaired enough for you to finish the job."

"When Ruwen gets back, I'll-" Suddenly, Jake felt something touch his lips, softly. He felt his stomach drop.

"Did you just... kiss-" Jake looked around. The bay was empty. Sarah had vanished.

Kyrie didn't know where to run to, but she started running anyway. There was a door on a wall near them, so she went toward it. The door opened and she ran straight into a rockman coming through the door in a hazmat suit. Kyrie fell back, but the rock was hardly fazed. He pulled out a gun and yelled: "Stop there! In the name of the Grand Inquisition!"
