Crash report
Crashed upon entering a sector named :The graveyard.
The text looked like a hazard sector.
My mods was Big bang cruiser,CE 1.082 and crystal quest (start boost).

edit:works now was just a random vanilla crash

A temporary link for the current and last version is now provided in the OP.

Seems the crashes happen pretty randomly across a lot of sectors. Its likely that they are connected to the enemies that can use combat augments, but I have no idea what is wrong there...

Everything but ModDB, please. For foreseeable future, I can donate transfer from my business FTP server, available 24/7. The only drawback is that every time you release a new version, there may be slight delay in availability, 'till I upload it. Still, filesharing services could fill the gap, which should be longer than 48 hours (without warning).

You'd just keep using your regular editor and just run the same three git commands every time you want to commit, push or pull updates. It's gotta be way easier than fixing it via some of these reports. X)

Exactly. I considered writing about it some time ago, but thought that I must be missing something and didn't wanted to sound like lecturing Sleeper ;) Generally, mainstream GNU/Linux git tools should work with github without problems, thus no need for linux version of their program. the latter is only for poor windows users ;)

Oh, ha. You can probably find it in my Twitch archive or on my youtube (part 1 of 4 of my stealth run is uploaded at time of posting).

Still completely unsure of what caused the crash although from most of the responses here would seem that the initial .8 update was a large culprit in the my earlier crashes at least.

I've been enjoing Captains edition quite a bit, even though I have yet to beat the game in that mode. The closest I got was at the second phase of the final boss with the Gila Monster (Mantis A). To be honest, I can't seem to get too far with any ship besides Mantis A. With Engi A I usually struggle with killing ships if I choose to put shields and engines over weapons/drones.

Was this meant to be played with the playable ship layout addon? Because I don't have it on.

No, it's perfectly playable with default ships too. I never used Ce ship addons, and I have about 10% of victories (no cheats, no canceling runs 'till death/victory, normal diff.), so it's perfectly doable, I think. you just need some practice.

BTW, this game meant to be hard, and it does even more with CE on board ;)
