Ok im a little confused here. Im using CE and the sM-Polish mod. Now im using your addon for playerships, but the SM mod also has one for compatibility. Do they both need to be loaded? Right now my load order is below. Let me know if you see any problems please.

  • Alpha - Base Game 1.03.3
Bulk - The sM Polish Kit 1.023
    Better Planets and Backgrounds_v1.2
    better_asteroids
    FTL Captain's Edition 1.08
Captain's Edition for Player Ships Addon 1.08
Patch - CE Player Ships 1.08
Patch - The sMPK for CE 1.08

Should be all right like this. In the case that problems arise, you could also enquire in the polish kit thread.

Not quite:

"Patch - The sMPK for CE" goes before "Patch - CE Player Ships". Also, you should lower "Bulk - The sM Polish Kit" to be just above "FTL Captain's Edition", keeping the overhaul group tight together.

Oh, and while said load order should theoretically work just fine, you don't need to load the CE-provided player ships add-on (sleepy, you should rename it to something more around "alternate starting setups" instead for clarity, as it changes the setups and not the ships themselves) if you're using sMPK's.

That is, if you're using sMPK, use "Patch - CE Player Ships" INSTEAD OF "Captain's Edition for Player Ships Addon", not after. While it should work fine anyway, it's best to keep things as simple as possible in modding.

is there a way to disable different parts of the mod. PS : is this a dumb question?

Nope.

Hey sleepy, I'm thinking that the Mapping Computer (for clarity's sake could be renamed to HyperProbe Droid Launcher or something) would go on the Stealth B and the Sector Scanner on the Stealth A, the reverse of how it is now. Why? Because the Stealth B has that droidy-looking feel, don'tcha think? Plus, the Mapping Computer fits into what you would call the "wierd" spectrum of augs when it comes to usage cost, and the Stealth B is the ship to go when thinking about wierd equipment.

I am very glad you were able to finish the crew social extension. There is sooooo much dialogue and its all really good. I especially like the references to the advanced edition. Bravo.

While I love SE element, I hate how it breaks Kestrel Cruiser achievement about having n crew-based blue-event options before sector 5. Is there a way to implement it, without breaking this ship-specific achievement?

Cheers,

Well you could just not use the SE when going for that achievement. That's the thing about mods, they usually break the achievements. Infinite space breaks the Ancestry Achievement for the Rock Cruiser.
