I would pick up some AC5 off of ebay for 5 bucks and smear it all over that processor.
But first before I void the warranty I would take it to best buy and show them it. If its still under warranty and it has problems, they need to fix it.
What brand is it? I've had experience with sony's and samsung's and dell's have a ton of problems with graphics and poor heat dissipation.

By cleaning I had meant clean out the dust, as you had mentioned there was some. You might want to open up the panels that don't break the warranty and used a compressed air can to try to clean out the dust a bit. Or you could take the advice above mine, and take extra measures to prevent overheating but I don't officially endorse breaking your warranty
The tech guys you brought it to might be able to clean it as well though.

Re: Computer screen artifacting mid-game
Thanks for replying!
But my warranty already expired a year after I bought it... When I was having the recovery problem before I went to geek squad (a day before the actual date of purchase 1 year ago) and they told me they can re-install windows for 70 bucks, or have them diagnose/repair it for $170 (going without my computer for a week), or have them send it to ASUS and have them diagnose it and fix the hinge on my computer screen which is about $320 (3-4 weeks without it) all which is not covered by my warranty because it's 'my fault' and not the 'manufacturers' fault.
<side note> And that black stuff you see by my computer screen pictures is electrical tape, the hinge broke a couple of months back and I'm a poor college graduate so I was definitely NOT paying geek squad with fixing my baby. The hinge thing happened about 8 months after I bought it (which was not covered by warranty), it has nothing to do with the screen spazzing. </side note>
So anidiot... can't really go back there now lol
And Matthew - the main vent is on the left side of the computer with smaller vents under the laptop and I've hit all of those with compressed air. I've normally use my computer on my lap not blocking the main vent (which works fine w/o problems) but when playing games like TF2, minecraft, random indie games, and emulators I always have it on a hard surface and/or elevated with books or stacks of mini post-its as legs. I'll try to find a way to get it thoroughly cleaned... and if there's a fix/update to the game for using less CPU let me know too
Thanks again for your help
