IF ANYONE IS STILL CONFUSED BY THE RESPONSES HERE:
i went and tested it out.
DODGE CHANCE is the chance that your ship will dodge/evade incoming attacks.
if your piloting room is manned you will get 100% of your DODGE CHANCE (plus extra DODGE CHANCE based on the pilot's level).
if you take your pilot out of the room thats when EVASION comes in. 50% EVASION means that with no pilot you will still receive 50% of your DODGE CHANCE.
hope that helps. Spazticus was right in saying that there is an inconsistency of terms. but only because when you look at your crew stats it says that persons in the engine room and piloting room increase EVASION. when in reality they both increase DODGE CHANCE.
