Yeah, I thought I got the gist of the ship with the whole "Combat Drone, no guns and automated ship." But I don't like wasting my Drone Slots with Repair Drones. Now if the ship had four Drone slots... although there wouldn't be a hotkey for Drone #4, but who uses the keys beyond the ones for the guns?

But I should have paid more attention to what I should have truly used it for.

Also, if you are to play it in CE, the chances of encountering boarders who don't breathe air is higher than you think. You might get AI Avatars paying a visit as well as Lanius outside of abandoned sectors.
So avoiding those places like the plague while a viable strategy, is not the best to avoid boarding parties.
