In my experience, I find that getting better weapons before sector 3 is pretty essential for both ships. The game seems to refuse to give me weapons for the stealth ship but makes my ship the refuge for way more slaves, runaways, and stranded people than I'd ever need.

I've only seen and heard of other player's experiences of the Stealth Ship, especially the DA-SR 12, but I have to say that this is a really good general guide on avoiding hits using cloak and target prioritization!

On the Stealh Ships (especially DA-SR 12), though, I already suggested somewhere else that adding an Augment that reduces Cloak Cooldown would really make playing these Stealth Ships an even more unique experience. I mean.. It's a friggin' Stealh Ship!

Sector one is doable, presuming no zoltan or drone screws you over, but randomguy is right, in the sector 2 the trouble starts, ships with 2 shields you can not one shot kill, which means you will take alot of hits. I tried like 20 times and the furthest I got was sector 3. But I did already have shields and was close to drone control and a mark I, so I was almost through the rough waters. But no scrap spent on engines meant a missile took me out of the game while cloaked at 75% evasion.
So with proper planning and no terrible luck it must be possible to win with Layout B,too. Or how about selling the glaive for some normal lasers, seems to defeat the purpose of playing the layout somewhat, though.

Can anyone verify that Stealth ships inherently have the ability of the Stealth Weapons augmentation straight away...?

I bought the Stealth Weapons Augmentation as soon as I saw it, then read later that Stealth ships while not using the augmentation slot have this ability already. If this is true I would rather then sell the Stealth Weapons aug. and buy the Auto-Loader aug. for my weapons.

However I dont want to risk dropping my Stealth Weapons aug. to test out if this is true only to find out that its not and then buy it again in store, that is if it doest get overrun in time.

Has anyone discovered differences as i hardly fired weapons during cloaking before I got the Stealth Weapons aug. If its true, then that could be a pro for both Stealth ships - inherent Stealth Weapons ability.

Nope, But I can verify that they do NOT have that ability. You need the augment for that and neither ship starts with that augment.
I don't know why anyone has assumed that the stealth ships has something they clearly doesn't have, but I have personally seen that firing your weapons during stealth in the stealth ships will reduce the duration of the stealth just like any other ship.

Thanks for the observations!

I was casually reading the wiki and I noticed it was put under the Stealth Ships section, saying that even though not shown as an augmentation, they naturally have the ability.
Note that although it does not appear installed on these ships as per usual, both varieties are permanently affected by the Stealth Weapons augmentation. This makes the stealth ships very powerful late-game, as they effectively can have a fourth augmentation.
