Okay, to elaborate, I wanted to use the "Duality" ship mod and the Descent Into Darkness mods. I downloaded where the links said to, and got a .rar file. I extracted them, and instead of .ftl files, which can easily be dropped into Slipstream, I got .xml files. I'm not sure where I went wrong.

The real question here is: why are you using Internet Explorer and not one of the many much, much better browsers? Switching to Firefox, Chrome, etc. and seeing if the problem still occurs is the only solution I can think of.
