Ship's log stardate 25023666 entry number 11 - Finally we jumped into the exit beacon of this sector and we were hailed by a station just as we showed up. It would appear that the station had been hit by some sort of war and needed drone parts to speed up their repairs. Fortunatly we had 3 of them so we sold all of them for 12 scrap. It wasn't a huge amount but 4 scrap per drone isn't actually a bad deal and since we do need repairs we'll need all the scrap we can get and as of right now we have no use for drone parts.
With that done we waited for the faster than light drive to be charged so we could leave the sector with the rebel fleet closing on our tails, so close in fact that they could almost bite it, but almost isn't good enough for them. From there on the choice was pretty simple, we had 2 sectors ahead of us and one of them was under control by the rebels so that was not going to be a good place to be in. On the other hand the other sector was controled by the engi and the engi were good people... Well more like robots or something in between but they were usually fair so I was fairly sure it would be a lot easier to go through that sector than certainly going through rebel controled sectors.
It will take us a while to get there so in an all girls ship, girls will party while the computer takes us there.

Ship's log stardate 26023666 entry number 12 - We've arrived at the Engi controlled sector and so far so good, I don't see any sign of the rebel that was in our pursuit though I am sure it's just a matter of time until they lock on to us. With the head start we've got we took our time to look at the sector's stellar map andplot our course... WEll, it's not like I'm doing any hard planning, mostly just where to go.
With only two beacons to chose we head out to the lower one since the trip would be relativelly short. Just a couple hours and we've arrived at an industrial planet which apparently is trading drone parts for fuel, the offer is rather bad however and we've decided to just ignore the broadcasts and move on to the next sector with nothing else to see here... Unfortunatly the next beacon is a little bit further away and the jump will take it's time too so I guess we have all the time in the world to enjoy ourselfs while nothing chaotic happens.

Ship's log stardate 27023666 entry number 13 - As we were about to make the jump yesterday our computer picked up a distress call from a nearby planet which really made our options much easier as to where to go next. I don't really know what will be expecting us there but with any luck there will be some scrap to be made.
We've reached the sector and the broadcast was coming from an engi station. We don't know why exactly this distress call was being sent so I told Thea to run a sensor scan on it while I pull close and try to discover what is wrong with it.
It took a little bit but once we dock Thea warns me that the distress call was being sent because the reactor of the station was overloading and already nearing critical mass. We still had time to get out in time but we picked up an engi alive in the ship so I thought it would be worth saving someone, Thea said it should be close but we should be able to do it if we hurried.
Running through the station was easier than I thought, it was deserted after all, nothing was left behind apparently and finally we found the endi near the reactor, he was injured, severly so and aparantly he was carrying a drone schematic. The wasn't much we could do about him already as some metal object had punctured through him and was pining him in place. As we got close the engi pushed a schematic into my hands and just asked me to leave... I don't understand how he didn't wanted to be saved in such situation but I guess he knew that he probably wasn't going to make and worse, it would probably cost us critical time to get away if we tried to save him. I took the schematic and turned back, crow still wanted to try but I grabbed her by the arm and pulled her... Soon she'd be following on her own.
As we left the station behind it finally blew up and we still caught the tail end of it but fortunatly it only disabled our engines for a while until Thea managed to repair it but no damage of any real concern resulted from it. I thought Crow would press the matter of saving the engi but I guess she did saw the wisdom of pulling out when we did, a few more seconds wasted and we'd all be dead... Well at least we got a schematic out of that and a little bit of scrap from the debris of the space station. The schematic is basicly worthless, not only we have enough people to run repairs, but we don't have a drone controle unit installed so I guess it's a little bit extra scrap on the market... Whenever we find a space station which has any decent traders anyway.
