And to add to that, if you lock down after they start to run but before they leave the room, they'll be trying to tear the wall down instead of fighting back.

Only other thing: keep in mind that you can't beam off an enemy ship while it's stealthed. This can a one-way ticket to Asphyxiation Town on an automated ship, or it can get you overwhelmed on the flagship.

Beware though that when the crew member in question is standing directly next to the door leading the Medbay the door will open immediately after his movement starts and s/he will be able to walk right through the crystal wall.

I have a similar favorite tactic. Fight people in the shields, and on a 4 man ship or less the pilot will abandon his post when the people have died or run to the medbay. As soon as the pilot's out the door is when I shoot the medbay or other targets.
I especially like to use a tactic like this when I am playing the Slug B cruiser with the Healing Bomb. I find if I teleport my boarders into the shield room (and sometimes the oxygen room), it will draw the pilot out of the cockpit; as soon as the pilot leaves, it is a pretty safe bet that the healing bomb is going to hit. (The only time when this may not work is if the enemy has an upgraded piloting system.)
