Potential applications for this so far:
-It would be interesting to see how the clones behave when repaired. If they have to be repaired independently to restore their functionality this could be used to create weaker ships that need more repairs to get running again after getting hit.
-Depending on how enemies actually get their upgrades, cloned systems might be used to make enemies dump their scrap, upgrade points or whatever resources they use (if they do at all) into useless systems, essentially weakening them.
- Make it possible for a weapon to deal damage to a system by impacting one of several rooms.
- Allow bigger effective room size without actually making bigger rooms. (4 2x2 medbays instead of one 4x4, for example?)
Edit: I think I'm going to play around with this, try and figure out what can and what can't be done with this. I'll let you guys know as soon as I have any info.

I can achieve the in-hangar duplication, as seen on the screenshot. I have 2 teleporters of identical power (though I set one to lvl 3 and another to lvl 1...
