Weird. I don't recall installing anything on my computer to use Dropbox, though in 6-8 months I've used it like twice so it's possible I don't remember it trying. I am pretty sure though that I've successfully uploaded AND downloaded without needing any software (other than the browser of course).

Also, FTL wanted to install something on your computer and it'd have sucked if you hadn't allowed it, no?

I'm not sure if I recall correctly, but the dropbox client should be optional... Either way, even if it's not, IMO it's worth the trouble, especially if you have two computers that you use often.

It's just very convenient to drop the files in the dropbox folder, then just copy-paste a download link.
Not to mention no funky business with sites deleting your files because 30 days passed, or whatever -- you're the only person in charge of your files.

Guess I've grown to really like it *shrug*

I want to try your ship, but when I click the link it says "Sorry, but we can't let you go to this site because it gives out too many viruses" and I can't access the download.

Alright- it IS optional, but I didn't realize it, given the pop-uppy way it appeared, I just hit the nuke it button.

That's something I asked for. Not so with dropbox.

i know this ship is old, but does it just... not work since Advanced Edition came out? it keeps crashing my game.

Anything before April 2014 I believe is recommended not to download and try... or bump up old threads to ask why the game keeps crashing when you try out an old ship.

The Sparrow uses 0x0 rooms (for the cloaking system, I think), which was a valid exploit in FTL's code pre-AE. Post-AE, 0x0 rooms crash the game. So there's really no way to recreate this ship properly post-AE.
