I think a mod assigning random classes to new crew members would be awesome, giving them bonuses at certain stations, repairs or combat, above and beyond their relatively boring racial bonuses.

Unfortunately that is hardcoded. It's something many of us would like to see in a future update. Not classes so much as just crew with some experience in a skill or three.

awe poop! Well thanks for the reply.

How bout some quests with more conversational options, kinda like mass effect.

Also, probably equally impossible as my first post, but would be so special if someone did voices for all the text with cheesy alien acting :P

Can you make a mod in where your crew has to actually witness special events? Like the giant spiders or the plague? For the plague you could have like 10 weakened people who you need to get down to half health and make a space station model for the events that occur there, make it so every special event you have to participate in rather then read about it.

It would be nice to have a few such special events. Ship unlocks amongst others. But i think involving the crew in every event visually would take great effort without adding a great deal to the game. After seeing them once or twice, we'd be clicking through them real fast.

What exactly does this mod do? I've meet mercenaries and there was no other options other then the regular ones...

If you are requesting requests, a good boarding ship would be nice, something with 4-man teleporter room. I have seen one or two ships with this, but they were quite overpowered.

Crew drone
is not part of the crew but will do actions just like them, requires power

I mean like the mod boards you onto a "ship" (The space station) and there are fires that you need to send your crew over to put out or fight spider (or mantis) and such.

add an item that would act like the EMH from star trek voyager to the sickbay.. like a hologram that would stand in the sick bay and scan your crew as they get healed.. scan as in a simple animation the hologram character would not actually heal your crew..its more for aesthetics than anything else..the room should still will heal the crew. also when the sickbay gets damaged he should go offline..i can think of other stuff id like him to be able to do but lets just see if this is possible first
