Hello, after removing advanced battle systems mod, asteroids are behaving as expected. I played some games with lvl 2, 3 and 4 shields and no more asteroid showers for me. Thanks Matthew.

I think I just ran across the unmodded asteroid bug. Playing in Sector 5 on normal, encountered a Zoltan ship in an asteroid field. Had 3 shields up and the asteroids slaughtered me even with 40% evasion and manned (untrained) shields. Seemed like I was getting about 2 asteroids per shield recharge at peak. One thing I noticed is that the enemy Zoltan ship did not get targeted at all. Is it possible I took all the asteroids for the both of us? Weird interaction with Zoltan shields?

Survived just long enough to kill the enemy but died as my shields couldn't keep up with the incoming asteroids. I've encountered many asteroid fields before, first time for the bug (also first time I've ever seen an enemy not get targeted).

There is some rare bug that seemingly gets all asteroids to hit you and miss the enemy ship. It happens in vanilla FTL but is very very rare and probably hard to pinpoint. It's also unclear wheter using mods before removing them has any effect. Leftover junk from past mods can end up in vanilla resources by mistake. This is also rare but can happen (has happened to me).

That's a different bug. Specifically in that event, when the enemy ship is added to the environment after the asteroids have been initialized, the player ship will receive twice the asteroids and the enemy ship none. It's a bug that will be fixed in the next patch. Sorry about that :( Always pick to attack the mantis if you come across that event again, it won't happen when fighting the mantis ship.

Advanced Battle Systems mod has no more asteroid fields, so there are no more asteroid storms! :D

It occurs only once or twice last week, I think this is a strange fault. But today, it hitted 5 asteroid belt five times.
