Hey everybody! I made a new ship mod.
It is a Federation cruiser made with help from the Zoltans. It was called into battle before the technicians could add real shields, so it has maxed engined and a zoltan shield. Armaments: vindicator artillery, burst laser 2, and small bomb.
MADE USING SUPERLUMINAL NOT COMPATIBLE WITH OTHER SUPERLUMINAL SHIPS!

Maxed engines? That sounds a little bit too excessive for a Sector 1 start.
Try and assign a "scrap budget" when making a ship. How much do certain systems and upgrades cost, how much missiles and drone parts cost, etc.
Because Level 8 Engine is a lot of free Scrap.
