I made this sprite, then realized that my reference caused me to use about...

300 lines too many? And I accidently made it upside down, to top it all off.



Now in the process of completely redrawing it so it doesn't have those lines.

So, maybe, in, ah, 20 years?; this thing will be ready to download.

Anyone who can tell me what it is wins nothing.

Much more unique than my hackjob of the Fed A. Looks good so far, but still, I dunno. Feels like it's missing something to push it over the top and make it unique. Feels a little... flat? In some areas (probably because the shading is not done) but I feel like the conning tower/bridge needs to be slightly wider. Perhaps the nose needs to be sharper.



Need a bit of help with this one. Didn't quite come out how I'd like - just looking for a way to make it look more like it should be in FTL. Didn't finish the shading/lighting yet. It's pretty much all smooth surfaces.

Both of those are still better than my hackjob attempt at shading. The last ship I tried custom shading on was so complex, I didn't know how it looked in 3D, so I couldn't do self-cast shadows and stuff--in the end I just gave up, slapped a gradient layer on, and called it a day, lol

Did a little bit of work with shadows, and now I'm just going to call it done. At least it's better than the Normandy.

I do have four oddball weapons that it'll use, and I'm still handing out Reddit Silver for the first person to name what ship I made.

One thing that always bugged me: Your Wanderlust cruiser is asymmetrical.



I really like how this one came out. This one should be a bit more obvious than the last, and it's still from the same thing...

looks like we've transitioned from weapons back to ships, eh? And not just ships, but fantastic looking ships in high quantities as well. Maybe I should start doing some work on the Scrin ship...

Heh, I should make a Type B of my Scrin Carrier. Make it automated and put CABAL's face on it...
