Are there any plans in the works to make a version of the Infinite Space mod that doesn't add new content to the game, or any way to disable them but keep using Infinite Space? I really want to try this out, but I don't want to have to deal with new ships, new weapons and technologies, etc. I just want the basic, vanilla/Advanced Edition experience in an endless setting.

I do, and in fact, I expect that to be done soon. The main screen will still be altered, though.

That's fine. As long as I'll have the option to disable IS's extra content, I'm satisfied. Really looking forward to it, keep up the good work! :D

Maaan... I'd love to see this project finished, by far my favorite mod!
Too bad as much as i'd like to help i have no coding \ art skills whatsoever... I only have a huge imagination :D
If you need help with anything non tecnical i'm more than pleased to help :)

What I need is people who can reach out and recruit people to help with this project. I don't have quite the amount of time I would like to work on this.

I'm almost tempted to learn FTL's XML language and so on just to help out with this mod, but unfortunately I don't think I'll have the time to be of any use. I think you should definitely try and recruit some of the other modders, as I'm sure some of them would like to help. I would do it myself, but I'm sure you will get better results :) Best of luck!

You will be of use. At the moment, no modders are volunteering, so...
Basically, if you have time and ideas, make some events in XML and send them to me! If you want to make ships, that's even better.

Maybe I'll use my meager XML skills and sub-par event-writing abilities to whip up some satisfactory events..hopefully. :P

Today, if not for a sibling of mine, I would be releasing Infinite Space version 2.0.3a. That was the last straw, and with the time I have available to me now, I cannot rewrite the mod from scratch (as I literally have nothing to work with other than Whoopty's text documents).

Though it truly embarrasses me to have to ask, after giving people hope for the mod, I need someone to shoulder just under half of the XML scripting and event making. I need someone willing to dedicate quite a lot of time to the project; someone who can help me finish this. If you are interested, say so here with some preliminary information you think is important for me to know, and then I will message you at some point within a day after that.
