Finally a win!

After getting to the 2nd stage boss several times with Kestral A, Kestral B, Engi B I finally managed a win with Slug A. I really liked that ship! The anti bio beam was alot of fun and I managed to get the kill 3 with one beam achievement.

RNG must have decided it was time for me to win cause I got an early Burst Laser Mk2 to go with my dual laser and then a few jumps later I found a shop with a preigniter which I had just enough for after selling my slug gel. After that things went pretty smooth starting off every fight with 5 lasers and a bio beam. Works especially nice against the small mantis ships if you time it so it hits the ones heading to the teleporter they still beam over but at 1/4 health.

Final weapons were Burst Mk2, Burst Mk1, Dual Laser, Hull Beam. (7 laser shots and a beam to start a fight is soo good)

Teleporter Lvl 1 (got the see all rooms without sensors achieve so i unlocked Slug B)
Drones (Defence Mk2, Beam)
Preigniter
Drone Arm
Weapon Reloader

Crushed the Boss still in green health and i didn't even get to board since I lost both my mantis the fight before the boss :X

Now I just need to decide if I should try the Federation A or Slug B next.

I would suggest the good old Kestrel next. It owes you a win. The Stormwalker is a tough tough ship to get going. Fun though.
