I've finished Normal for the first time with this ship. But yeah, this ship is quite luck dependant.

Nobody says all ships need be created equal. There's a tourist class in Nethack you know. Consider it a hard mode.

Yeah so... this was my first ever attempt with the Nesasio. I admit I got a lucky start though.

I like the Nesasio. (Well, I really like most of the ships.) I had one of my better runs in it. The stealth combined with the long range scanner is actually a very nice start. You can get OK scrap selling the titanium casing enabling you to get shields earlier as well.
Use what you like best, some give you a different challenge, and I like that. Maybe some are a weaker start point than others, but so what? It is all part of the fun and challenge.

You should always cloak when the enemy fires their weapons. With 4 engines PLUS the 60 percent evade bonus from cloak, they always waste their first shot. If you time it right, you can take down shields with the dual laser and fire the mini-beam to demolish ships. Even if you can't damage them with the dual lasers, if you let the mini-beam fully charge before using them it can hit while the shields are down. If you pause and are careful, you can hit 3-4 rooms.

I beat the boss with the stealth ship but maybe it was because of the fact that i found a burst laser III, II, and I
