I really need to know the answer to this question.
I like FTL a lot, but I have a problem I never really heard about in the forum. My game sometimes freezes, completly at random, wich is very aggrovating. First, I'm pretty sure my pc meets the system requierments, its not high end, but I could play games wich much more complexe graphics on it, so that can't be the problem.
What happens is, I start the game, select a ship and start playing, at some days, I have no problems at all, but often, the game freezes during a fight, sometimes even in the wheaponsmenu. If this happens, my pc stops responding to anthing, I can't click, the keyboard does nothing, even hotkeys or the windows button don't work, so I have to pull the plug, wich deletes the games savedata, the ships, achivements, stats etc. are still there, but it's like I quit the game without saving. Before anyone asks, I play on fullscreen mode.
If there is any way to fix this, please tell me, I can't enjoy the game, if I can't even finish 6 of 10 runs due to freezing, by wich I dont want to say that I would have won them all, but it has ruined some of my most prommissing runs, so please help.

Re: my game freezes
Hello. Sorry about the problem! There's a few small changes you can make that might help prevent / stop random crashing and freezes:
1) Turn off the Steam Overlay (assuming you're using the Steam version of course)
2) Turn off your Anti-Virus software when running FTL
3) Turn on V-Sync and/or the Frame Limit within the Options screen
Can you also check your FTL installation folder for the following things:
-Crash output in the "crashlogs" folder
-General logging in stdout.txt
And post them here or email me the contents to zasdarq@ftlgame.com
Glad you're enjoying the game, hopefully we can get the crashes to stop.

Re: my game freezes
Sorry, I don't really know what the steam overlay is, but I can do the other two things. Since I bought the steam version, I don't have these folders you are asking for. If your tips don't help, I will post another question.

Well, fuck. V-sync and stuff was turned off all the time and it seems, there is no turn off option in my anti virus programm, wich is AVG. Should I stop it via task manager?
