People on my Discord came up with an neat idea. Neat enough to get me to try it out after being away from modding for some time.
The idea was simple : off-screen fire support. So the idea of a small ship spotting for a dreadnought was created.
Meet : The Nightingale, Federation Spotter !
In a desperate attempt to minimize military fleet losses, the Federation has chosen to use spotters. These under-equipped ships provide the dreadnoughts with targeting coordinates for their long range artillery which keeps the dreadnoughts safe.

As the title suggest, (and I suppose the hangar image,) you'll be relying on the artillery to do most of the damage. While you do have a weapon system of your own, it only has 2 slots and is limited to 5 power max. The same goes for drones should you decide to purchase it. You know, under-equipped and all. So your best bet it to set your build to support the artillery. Good luck !

Ship replaces Kestrel-C
Every system you don't start with (cloak, drones, teleport and mindcontrol) are set to the same room. So if you plan on going over the system limit with say the Limited Time Offer mod, you'll end up with stacked systems. Attempt at your own risk ! The Backup battery has its own room though.
Ship is also part of the Bio's Fleet pack.
