I decided to Dust off FTL once again and save the Federation. However, the Rebels developed a new strategy . They Freeze my PC at various points so that I can not exit tab out or otherwise escaope or resolve the issue there are no error logs and the Freeze requires a full reboot to escape
I am currently running
win 10
AMD FX-8310
8Gb ram
AMD Radeon R7 200 Series
video drivers and Windows are current and up to date

attempts at solution include:
disabling game mode on AVAST anti virus
Disabling Steam Overlay
Running in windowed mode
Verifying local files
uninstall/re-installing the game

so far none of these has proven to be the fix i am looking for

it looks like i missed a driver update for my GPU updatating and restarting seems to have fixed my issues
