Hardly Lifted a Finger bug

Earlier today I started a game with the Engi cruiser and very early on made someone surrender. I had to leave so I did a save+quit there.

When I started back up apparently the ship was on fire because as I was looking around making sure everything was ready to jump the other ship broke apart, and awarded me the achievement.

I'm pretty sure when I beat him up earlier I used the ion gun (I certainly wasn't trying for the achievement, so I don't know why I wouldn't have).
There was a deactivated drone floating around at the time.
I wasn't in any kind of hazard that would have killed the ship.
