I'm looking for a netbook that will work decent with FTL. I tried and returned one already that failed miserably...
Anyone out there playing FTL on a netbook? I'd love to find one that's working well under Ubuntu, but can settle for one running Windows, if I have to.

What exactly is the problem?
Do those netbooks have too little performance or are they just getting too hot and shutting down? If it's the latter you may try to limit the fps by using the option "frame limiter" (or something similar) and also putting the vsync option "on" in the game's options menu.

I had issues with the graphics driver. Same as this guy: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=10319
I returned that netbook already. I'm just looking for someone that can definitively say "I have this netbook and it plays FTL just fine". I will then order that netbook. I am literally trying to pick a netbook based on it's ability to play FTL.
