How to lose the game without getting a game over screen.

This ship is forever doomed to float in space, constantly spawning clones who try desperately to repair the oxygen to no avail before perishing like their infinite predecessors. Or until the nearby pulsar disables the cloning bay.

I dunno, have you tried sending a Zoltan to Oxygen and then as soon as the next one is cloned, send them to it so if the other one dies, the progress isn't reset...
Or the Zoltan don't have enough HP to make it?

1) Upgrade Clone Bay to level 3.
2) Run to the pilot room and jump.
3) Continue until you die or pick up an Engi or rockman.

He can't; he's in a pulsar.

2) Run to the pilot room and jump.

He can't; his engines are broken.

This is a pretty horrible situation, and I don't see any way to salvage it. Sorry, OP! Hope your next run goes better.

Oh! I can't believe I didn't notice that the engines were down, and forgot about upgrading. Granted, if he COULD jump, he could upgrade at the next beacon.

I've had a similar problem with mantises and medbays, where they simply did not have enough time to run from the medbay to the o2 room and back, to fix the medbay. No matter how I staggered them. In that case, I ran back and forth from the medbay to the pilot room and actually DID pick up an engi who got the whole thing going.

Those ideas are pretty much how my thought process went. "Okay, so if I upgrade the bay, They'll have time to, no, damn. pulsar. So if I run them to the pilot so I can get to a safe lo-... engines down, same repair situation as oxygen. Welp. As the irish say, Oil Beef Hooked."

1.Wait for 2 Zoltan to be cloned in.
2. Send them to the oxygen and hope they repair in time.

If that wouldn't have worked, then nothing could, and that truly is a game over without it's proper screen.

And, by the way, that's why one says,

"There isn't good or bad. There's just insane."
"Blamsauce!"
