Romero walked out of the ship, and simply walks through the lines of Federation soldiers. Moving about the facility as the general hustle and bustle of the ship allows him to go unnoticed. Soon he walked into the control room, killing the two guards outside and the person operating the system itself.

"Let's hope that computer programmer skill pays off today" He said, moving about the system until he had a final view of the entire station's systems. Disabling oxygen, doors and cameras. He walked out of the room and into the cargo hold, the people within blissfully ignorant of the short period of time they had to escape the system. Romero carelessly took the small crates of scrap and walked off. Caring little as the oxygen began to deplete and people began to collapse. He placed them near the cargo hold of the Interceptor and walked back to the ship. Oxygen depleting further. He placed a small set of charges around his grenades on the small bottom level. Walked back up as guards attempted to stop him. Walked into the ship, and detonated them.

The station began collapsing.

"NOW'S THE TIME TO GO!"

Translator's beak dropped in shock. "I was expecting at least petty theft, not murder and the destruction of an entire station!"
He looked to Interceptor "We're not letting him stay onboard are we? He'll probably get us all killed by everyone."

"Chyort voz'mi! He's crazy!" Slava screamed

"Crazy? Maybe. BUT I'm on YOUR side.

Besides, no one needs to know. The communications array is down, as are the cameras. No one will ever know we were here, except us...

It helps this is all in my head, a dream..."

"This is just a dream to you!?!?" Slava screams "Does it not register to you that you killed thousands of people!"

Slava drags a box of scrap to the shields room and says "I'm going to go upgrade the shields before i shoot you with your own pistol."

"And even if it wasn't. WHO CARES?! These were monsters of every shape and variety.

And I have a bigger gun then all of you, so I suggest you shut the fuck up and do your job."

"..." Interceptor uses specialized magnets to get the other crates into the cargo hold, silent.

Romero leans against the wall, silent.

Reinforce the power conduits: Done
Add armor plating to increase durability: Done
Tune shields to accommodate 2nd layer: Done
Add extra shield emitters: In Progress

Slava, having built several more emitters, is walking on the outer hull to place them in the positions necessary for a second layer of shields. As much as I hate to admit it, Romero did the right thing. We really needed this scrap. Slava thinks to himself He may be quite detached from reality, but I suppose it just makes him a more effective soldier. He bends over to place the 10th and final emitter. Connect power lines.... screw into place.... weld to hull.... and done! He looks off into the distance at the remains of the station. Well, at least I got paid in advance.


Holding up the pistol Romero handed him before the incident, Slava thought;
This is a really nice gun, I might just keep it.
