Eden entered in the coordinates and the Pelican jumped, arriving in the Rock Sector. One of the crew found it appropriate to play a song over the comms as soon as they arrived.
"Oh it looks like the switch is broken" Eden remarked "I can't shut off this catchy beat"
She gave it a few more minutes before adding "Alright fine..."

Awakened by the jump to rock space, Kyrie rolled out of bed, groaning about waking up early. She pulled her clothes on and groggily stumbled to the shields station. As she was slowly waking up, she noticed the lanius had followed them. “Hey, why are those lanius following us here?”

Seeing they were in a rock sector now, Kyrie tried to remember anything she knew about rockmen. She knew they were hostile toward outsiders and also very religious. There was never a rockman at the academy, so she knew little else than that.

A Rock Scout jumped into the nearby area. It immediately detected the fleet and turned around, deploying its missile launchers. A brown Rockman appeared on the screen of all the ships after hailing them, sporting a very stylised mossy beard. His fellow crew also sported the same short design. He wore a brown camouflage uniform designed for the Rockman's bulky physique and a cap which Eden remarked as "Revolutionary" in design.

"You are in Numa Empire territory, you repugnant, blasphemous aliens! State your business or leave immediately! The Grand Basilisk's Paladins do NOT tolerate outside intrusion!" the ship Captain said "Especially that of the Metal-Eaters."

Now it's only a single stupid ship but is that what the Federation does? Attacks single ships just protecting an area... oh wait yes they do
And think of the Numa Rockmen as trying to imitate Castro or Che Guevara... or the Rock equivalent. Think Banana Republic but with more religious forces. So think Banana Republic type?

Bren called out, "Those Metal Eaters as you called htem are friendly, we are just passing through, looking for repairs and maybe directions to some tourist spot...ever see anything that looks like a crystal donut?" he called out

"Donut?" Rowen asked

"Oh right, very good Earth Snack, you should try it if we get the chance"

The Rockman didn't seem amused by the response from Bren. He clearly didn't see the Crystal on his screen - he deliberately had the video turned off so he didn't have to look upon the repugnant faces of those in front of him. He considered distorting the audio so he wouldn't hear their flappy, meaty voices but he had to find some way of knowing when it was the Zoltan speaking or the Humans.

"You repugnant aliens dare speak of the Holy Ring of Roknloug?" he growled angrily "Those damned Vrachos heretics stole it from our Grand Basilisk, believing it to be their rightful relic"
"We could get it back for you" Eden suggested in a jocular tone "We'll just pass on through your sector, go to Vrachos IV and go grab your relic."

The Rock Scout Captain's eyes glowed in anger "This is not your concern, outsider! You would only destroy the relic in your attempt to recover it. Begone and take your so-called Metal Eater "friends" with you!"

A quest beacon has been added in the next sector... ok joking.

Ruwen frowned a bit, "Are all Rocks like this in your time?"

"Aren't they in yours?" Bren asked looking back

"He doesn't understand his own code of laws. This is one reason why I don't trust these repugnant aliens. They cannot even get their own laws right."
