Engi A vs flagship, comment

Hi all, so before I go head to head with flagship (my second time, and first time with engi ship) I thought I would ask you to rate / suggest builds before I meet with him!! It's on easy by the way :)

You're going to want to replace that fire bomb with the Flak II, I can tell you that first off. Also, what's a Zoltan doing in pilot? Put him in the shield system; I'm pretty sure that if you have him in there the shields can still be held by one layer, even if ionized. And when you get to the Flagship, teleport your Mantis and Rock guys into the missiles, so they can destroy the system immediately.

I thought zoltan are good pilot because they cannot be mind controlled...
Also I thought fire bomb are the most sought after weapon, whereas flak would be dangerous with a boarding party...?

I think you mean Slugs, they can't be mind controlled. Zoltan can.
As for the Fire Bomb, no... I don't like that weapon because quite frankly it sucks. All it does is set a fire, and there's so many people on the Flagship that they'll take out the fire no problem.
And the Flak II, just don't aim it at your crew. Go for a wide area, like the middle of the flagship. Just make sure to teleport your guys back before the ship explodes so they don't die.

About to start 3rd wave, I have 14hp left...the enemy has his interior crew left (about 5?)
I haven't loaded up the flak cannon :( I like fire bomb too much :((
