Are the content of the stores related to the race?

For example Engi will have drone things and stuff? Rocks rocket stuff? Mantis boarding?

So if you want a specific load out it would make sense to target specific jump systems? baring the occasional pirate hiding or something?

Are weapon drops from enemies something from that ship or race?

Or is it all totally random?

I belive they are all random... except for the crew.

went to mantis place, saw 3 matis for sale...
went to engi place, saw 3 engi for sale
went to civilian, saw well almost all of them (except slugs but i don't see shops that often)
