So I got a question about boarding
Is it better to send crew, or drain the O2 from the rooms in question?
Also, when I board enemy ships, where's the best place to start?
Boarding?

Re: Boarding?
Well if you can drain oxygen and deactivate life support, you can kill your enemies without needing to fight. Most of the time though, venting a ship will take too long or be too risky to be viable unless you've got their weapons locked down.
If you do try to vent the ship make sure Life Support is locked down or they'll just fix them back up and fill them with air again. If it is down, you don't actually need to breach to kill them; they'll breath up all the air on their own if given enough time.
When you start boarding, you need to be conscious of the med-bay. If it's active, your opponent will try to rotate crew through it and make your life miserable. You'll probably want to board into 2-large rooms so you can't get outnumbered by enemy crew, but other than the size of a room and its proximity to the med bay, the room you beam into is pretty irrelevant.

Re: Boarding?
I dont place much value on Boarding. I find its simpler to focus on investing in better weapons. That way you can take out critical enemy systems from afar with things like bombs and not have to risk your crew members at the same time.
I suppose if you had a mantis-heavy crew it might be a faster option, but ive never come across enough to justify the investment.

Re: Boarding?
Boarding is good because clearing a crew gives more scrap than destroying a ship. Draining O2 usually doesn't work that well.
I usually board at the helm because its always 2 sized and it removes the pilot so your ion cannons can more easily keep the weapons locked down.
But boarding without mantis or rock isn't that good though.
