If you guys like this game, check out the sequel to this game: Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space (I think). It actually had a pretty big influence FTL's original design. Plus they made a port for iPad which works quite well and is a lot cheaper than the original version, for whatever reason.

I just bought the latest Indie Royale bundle purely because of this comment ^^^ (Wierd Worlds is in there)
And I bought Strange Adventures too. ;-)

Wierd Worlds works better on both my desktop and laptop though.

Spelunkey is stupidly hard in that, "OMG I just have to have one more go because I KNOW I can do this." kind of way.

I started playing it one Saturday morning and when I finally checked the clock it was suddenly 2:40am Sunday morning...

Great game.

Edit: Oh also - Slender - This game will scare the pants off you. It's ridiculously simple but that helps to make it ridiculously terrifying. Getting kind of hard to find a place to download it at the moment though. I got mind through wildfire but that link has been pulled. Definitely worth getting if you can find a link.

And, not exactly indie games but - AGDInteractive - these guys are doing complete remakes of Sierra old school classics like Kings Quest and all free to download. Absolutely fantastic if you were a fan of those games way back in the days before the Internet. Full graphical overhauls and remade into point and click adventures Curse of Monkey Island style. :D

0Space! SUCH a fun 2 player romp.

Can donate for the improved igf edition.

It's small and simple, but it's amazing at what it does.

10 Min Space Strategy by Goblin Lunatics, a Hungarian indie.

A quick, relatively simple 4X space game, definitely worth looking at, and free with a donation button on their homepage.

I love games with permadeath. I suggest:

Prospector (Sort of like FTL but with landing on planets, but much older)

Gryning (A zombie shooter)

Dungeon dash (A dungeon crawler...very simple, but fun)

Powder (Like nethack! Very fun!)
