Any other fans of Atom Zombie Smasher or Flotilla on here?

Bought Atom Zombie Smasher on a steam sale without really knowing much about it. but 3 days later my wife was throwing things at me telling me to get off the computer. Classic example of gameplay over visuals = win

Anyone else delight in playing with duplicates/troop selection and seeing how many overpowered howitzers they can place on the map at once? :D

I got AZS in a Steam Sale a year or so back and couldn't run it on my computer at the time, so I installed it on my new laptop last night. It's a very strange game, but very fun.

I've got both Flotilla and Atom Zombie Smasher. I do enjoy both (though Flotilla more than AZS) but I find them both utterly frustrating. I don't like losing and both of those games really end as a No-Win senario. I feel that AZS actively tries to make you lose, whereas Flotilla just ends.

Flotilla is in dire need of an endless mode IMO. Also, the gameplay ends up overly simplistic. The battlecruisers are almost useless as well.

I just watched one of the demonstration videos for Flotilla. I'm wondering if Justing and Matt have heard of this game before. Looks kind-of like a watered down FTL with Tron visuals and split screen multiplayer.

....apart from being in space and extremely tactical, they don't have too much in common.

Yeah Flotilla is a much more relaxing beast than FTL. Excellent game as is Atom Zombie Smasher and Gravity Bone. Looking forward to seeing what Blendo to next.
