I am ready to invest time...and then start all over again. Over and over again.

XCOM will probably have frequent saves though.

I'm picturing it to be more like Fire Emblem than a roguelike. I could be wrong though.

Yeah not playing XCOM as a roguelike. I get too attached to my personell, I refuse to let any of them die.

enjoy restarting the chapter over and over mister freqent save

can you imagine if fire emblem was "faglike" i mean "rougelike"?
Can you imagine beating blazing sword if they increase the replay value of that game the way FTL is made to take longer. lol, 1 person dies in any chapter and you have to restart the game

Sitting at work... got my PC upgrade package waiting at the post office so I can play XCOM (I needed to upgrade to Win 7, decided to get an SSD to install it fresh on, and I needed to upgrade my graphics card anyway, as I have games I can't play on my old GF8800GTS 320mb).

So I've spent over $700... and XCOM was the last drop that made me do it.

It's amazing... lots and lots of bugs(many of them relating to mouse control), but still addicting as hell.

Hello there

I must be in the minority as I found the new reinvented version of Xcom to have.....something lacking.

It is pretty and "swish" but something just doesn't work for me.

I've actually reinstalled my original 90's version by using "openxcom" and whilst dated, has that undefinable thing that draws me back. Plus I can play it on my netbook.

Ahh, the memories!

Yeah, I'm still playing the new xcom, but I like the original two more. The new one just lost the freaky/scary vibe that the original would give out. Listening to that dun-dun-dun-dun soundtrack, when a shot comes out of the dark and kills a trooper? Yeah, that can make me jump sometimes. Don't get that with the new one.
