Cut it in half. Remove the stone. add a dash of Worcestershire sauce (or a dash of Tabasco sauce on some avo and place it on a [gasp!] cracker or if have time, make that a whole grain cracker). Heaven in an avocado skin.
Walnuts are good nuts too, and more versatile than almonds.
try getting vegemite (or marmite, whatever they sell at likes coles or woolies or whatever you have), cheese and tomatoes. get four bread slices and enough avocado to mash with some onion (sweeter onions are better onions to use for this, as in not brit/water-starved onions that could stop a tank).
mash the avocadoes with onion.
cut one tomato up into slices like the ones they get you at subway/sandwich shops, but a bit thicker. put vegimite on the bread slices and some cheese, preferably mozzarella. toast bread slices in oven until cheese melts. you should have a lovely brown paste-ish mix, which is the vegemite-cheese mixture. put avocado on the vegimite-cheese-bread mixture. spread with a knife GENTLY, otherwise you could ruin the vegemite-cheese mix. then place tomato slices on top. eat. ascend tastebuds into heaven. enjoy.
