Suggestion: Crew Modifying Augmentations

I've built some beautiful ships, but sometimes I find myself very unlucky in the crew department. A lack of crew-for-hire, slavers, and recoveries, or simply a bunch of humans, can leave me with a pitiful one or two man crew aboard an otherwise powerful ship.

While the current leveling system, and racial bonuses, can be used to great effect, I'd like to be able to have some ship wide upgrades to help make my staff hardier.

At times like these, I'd love to be able to trade out my FTL Jammer for a spacesuit or some flame retardant jumpers.

Example Augmentations:

Spacesuits—Crew in oxygen deprived rooms dont take damage for # seconds.
Fire Retardant Suits—Damage from fire is reduced by %#
Heavy Weapons—Crew combat damage is increased by %#
Combat Armor—Crew damage from combat is reduced by %#

This would be especially useful if you wanted to create a boarding focused ship.
Engineering tools—Crew repair speed is increased by %#

I too have noticed that my crew is very lacking towards the end sectors, unless I get lucky and come across a slaver or a store that sells crew.

Adding these augments or maybe another room that has storage for these (allowing crew to "suit up" mid fight for the task at hand) would be great for those human crew that are always hanging around being slightly "less" productive.
