I agree. It seems odd that the spambots seem to be way more active the last week.

every now and then, any forums would be hit harder than usual by spam bots. It is pretty difficult to set up solutions for these things. Even with things like captcha can fail at times.

Fail at times? Captcha on this site appears to be a cakewalk for spambots. I remember seeing a presentation recently by some guys who completely dominated Google's audio reCaptcha. Got their automated system up to 90%+ success rate on solving those captchas.

Once we get the beta rolling I'll try and make sure we install an email verification mod. I'm not sure if there are any easy ways to do the 'report post' but we can look into it.
