Because I'm around my tenth easy game since Thursday, and nada, no win.

About two ^^
First death in Sector 4, second death somewhere 6-8, then I switched to the Engi Cruiser and reaped my way to 8 with Pike Beam + IonSpam. Boss was sort of difficult, but a Engi Ship with Hull Repair, Defense MkII and Shield 4 is a real tank.

Easy - zero.Around 35 normal. First kill with torus.

Around twelve. I used the Zoltan ship to destroy him. Oh, and if you can, use an ion bomb. They bring the Flagship's shields from four to two if it hits the shield bay.

Havent ever played on easy. I love my first play through then won on my second.

I lost about 20 - 25 normals then won with the Kestrel. Then lost another dozen normals before the next win, courtesy of the Gila Moster. Then lost....

I thought about playing easy, but then I remember, losing is fun,right? So I started normal right away and got to sector 3 or so. Thought about my mistakes and got the flagship in the second round. The third playthrough I beat it. It is really not that hard if you plan properly.

The boss beat me a LOT on easy. Once I understood how all the different systems/weapons interact I turned it around and started winning fairly consistently. After 10+ easy victories I achieved my first normal victory the other night. I cheered, made pew pew noises and gave it the finger for good measure.
Part of the reason I played easy so much was just ship hunting. I have all A types and most B types unlocked now.
Slug Cruiser is one of my faves.
