I had to make a post about this game. Like my idea states, I would love to see multiplayer in this.

Well in that case they should have little numbers on them so the player knows they have hotkeys. But it's still way less of an issue.

And mouseover text should tell people hotkeys too.

My ideas so far:
- Crew gear (weapons and armor): customizing certain crews to be even more specialized aside from experience. I imagine weapons with different effects to make teleporting crews more interesting. Fire weapons, stun guns, basically more dps guns, or first aid gear so that they can heal whilst on enemy's ship. In terms of armour, obviously gear to breathe in rooms without oxygen, gear to become immune to fire, more defense against intruders or enemy ship attacks.

- Role play extras: buy bunks, kitchen (room for chef to create buffs) for empty rooms. (Also allows hardcore mode where they must be fed to survive). A doctor class crew isn't bad as well, heals nearby allies. Garden rooms.Ways to paint ship according to faction.

- Some sort of orientation arrow to show which direction your weapons will shoot towards enemy, to allow users to aim and shoot down their defense drones. This usually happens randomly, or so far I have not seen how to manually target enemy defense drones.

- Co-op mode or dual ship mode: Basically doubling most aspects: double the enemies and trouble. Introduce a range of support stuff: Friendly repair arm, allow transporter to send crew to ally ship, allow temporary attempt to shield ally from enemy fire. Different fleet orientation to increase dodge/morale/damage. I.e. revolving around target increases perpendicular velocity, which means more dodge but less weap accuracy.

- Obviously, I'd like for a longer play mode. However, the longer the game drags on, the faster the player will hit the upgrade cap where they have everything maxed. This will make the game less interesting (although more focus on choices then), but still something I hope can be added as a new mode.

I'll come up with more ideas soon, and I can post this on that other site as well.

Thanks for the suggestion but since we are out of beta and the game is released we're not going to be responding to improvement ideas in the same way we were before. If we are planning to make updates to the game we will keep your ideas in mind. However because of the surprising popularity of the game, we (a 2 man team) are unable to respond to everything without it eating up all of our time. Thanks again.

This answers lots of questions about updates, release updates, replies related to communications (from forums and anything else).

Just wanted to say good job guys...and please hire more lol. you deserve it. Besides 2 man team did this game... to me this is very good.

Another addition I'd like to see is the ability to overcharge certain sections of the ship.

Like, let's say my shields are at full power, and so are my engines. My weapons have a little power in them. I'm trying to escape from this fight, but I'm about to die. I need more power in my shields.

It'd be cool if I could, say, divert power from the weapons and overcharge the shields, temporarily and for a short time making them one power higher than they're supposed to be, but with two costs:

1) Now I don't have power in wherever I diverted power from
2) The overcharge is a short, temporary use - after using it, the shields will short out completely (or be at half regular power or something) for a few minutes until I get someone in there to fix it

This balance makes a powerful thing risky to use and something you'd only want to pull in dire circumstances.

I'd like to have the ability to customize a ship.

Based on unlockable ships, maybe have it be as a final reward for unlocking all the ships, you then get the ability to customize your own ship.

Yeah, that'd be cool too.

They purportedly tried it and didn't like it. Was too game-breaking. Or maybe just not fun in that there was an optimal build, so then it got boring, so not worth the effort.

Tried... what?

Letting you design your own ship?
