The new flagship fight is just too much RNG with the hacking.

I always have two Defense I drones and most of the time a hacking system so I can counter hack. This is not enough to ensure that you don't get your shit wrecked by a hacking drone.

The hacking drone needs a delay after you kill it like the other drones, because right now it's russian roulette until the flagship has depleted its 15(?) drones or it hacks something pointless like doors or oxygen.
