Well controlling in 2nd person should probably be with voice commands. Such as "you go there" "you fire beams" etc.

A first or third person would require more money to produce most likely, but would probably bring in more as well. Just saying. Money.

This isn't a money thing, not to mention a first/third person FTL wouldn't even FIT THE GENRE OF FTL.
