Just curious if i will be able to play right when the game launches.
I was also wondering if the game will launch at midnight, or if we'll have to wait til mid day.

I don't think a pre-load is necessary for FTL. It's a very small game (compared to the usual 10 GB+ games of today), and unless you have absolutely abysmal download speeds, you should be able to play almost immediately after it comes out anyway. Not sure about the release time, sorry.

Kind of a strange thing with a game of this size. With lack of DRM I don't think it's even feasible.

It's only 150 MB now. So you should be able to download it pretty fast
