Hi guys

I've beaten the game about 6-7 times now after about 30 hours, and I've found a consistent strategy for myself. Usually I will beat the game every 2-3 playing sessions.

Wondering how valuable a guide would be if I wrote it. I would use feedback on these threads as a guide

I have no idea how useful a guide would be. I know I don't need one.

If my Youtube videos are any indication (and I think they are, though I suspect I'm a bit luckier there than in normal play) then I win 7 out of every 8 games I play.

I have beaten the game 154 times, out of 536 tries. Those games of course include the games that it took to get good, and the games it took to unlock the secret ship, most of which I quit after the first sector. I'd guess I quit the game over 100 times in the 1st sector when I reached the end and saw that the layout of sectors didn't make for a good chance at unlocking the secret ship. I wouldn't be surprised if 200 of my runs were attempts at it, and not ONE of those runs were wins because I either died or quit.

I've considered, once I finish my YouTube series, clearing my stats and starting over to see what they look like.

I haven't beaten it on Normal yet. I've only beaten it 3 times on Easy.

To be honest, I have played this game for 58 hours in less than 2 weeks (less than 2 weeks ago, I bought the game and am already modding ) and I haven't been able to beat the game on normal, not even easy. My strategies don't really work, but, I'm still working all of this out.

Even if a guide will be useful, FTL is 50% luck. I dunno how many times i beat the game in normal, more than 10 for sure (i am not an "addict" like 5th horseman lol), but since i stop playing regular games a long time ago, now i just mod, i almost never reached the final sector since all i do is testing my mods (of course always in normal difficulty) and most of the times i never reach the final sector only cuz i dont want to.. or sometimes cuz i just die.

There is no need for a guide, since as i said, u can reach the last sector using a lot of methods, and sometimes even if u are the best player of FTL u will not make it, since u will have bad luck. I think the only guide is to play and learn. If u make a guide, its probably it will be useless since the methods u describe will not be able to apply in a different type of game in which for example u wont find almost any shop in the sector, or u will run out of fuel, or u will die sooner cuz u encounter a boarding / drones enemy that u are not prepared to fight, etc. as i said, pure 50% luck. One run can be completely different from another one talking about FTL.
