So earlier I was cruising through the engi sector...

This was a run where I was trying to unlock the crystal cruiser.

It's the second sector, so there's still a lot of ground to cover, and the interesting thing is that I have 4 jumps from the starting beacon to choose from.

I pick one at random, and I'm a tad disappointed to discover that I just triggered the second event before I could grab the stasis pod.

Next beacon I jump over to is a distress beacon, and I got the stasis pod. Tad too late, right?

It was frustrating enough to almost restart the game over. Almost. I'm glad I didn't because the next sector was zoltan and I got the crewmember and ended up unlocking the ship, but that's another story!
