[Pilot] FTL Pilots v0.1.3 (NOT updated for ITB 1.2)

Warning:
This mod has not been updated for ITB 1.2. For bug free experience, use with ITB 1.1 - otherwise use at your own risk.

I want to update it eventually, but I cannot promise anything.



This mod aims to add pilots of the remaining races of FTL to ITB.
Currently WIP (maybe I will finish it some day). 3/4 pilots in a playable state.

FTL Pilots v0.1.3 - requires kartoFlane's mod loader to work.
Mod Loader - originally made by Cyberboy2000 and continued by kartoFlane

I've wanted Virus' 2nd ability since the first day I played the game.

Slocknog's is really cool. I'm always impressed what info people can pull out of the game.

Ruwen's seems a bit weak in comparison. Maybe instead of repair, he can generate a "shield" of crystals around himself? That works exactly like a shield, but looks a bit more like he was iced.

I really like the art-style given to the races in this mod, it fits quite well with the three vanilla ones.

I'd like to ask a question though, how does one install it?
I've tried to put the "FTL Pilots" file in itb/resources/mods, but it did not add the pilots when opening the game. The modloader works fine, though.

Also, has it been since 5 months that it's still a WIP?

The mod will add the pilots, but you still have to unlock them before you can select them as your time traveler. That usually means finding them in time pods.

Oh, okay.
I don't find them in the list of pilots when I check the "Mod content" page in the game's main menu. I only have the vanilla ones listed (because I unlocked all the vanilla pilots, Kazaaakplethkilik, Ariadne and Mafan included).
Maybe you mean they only show up once I unlock them?

Hmm I just did a quick check, and they should A) appear in the Mod Content > Arrange Pilots menu, and B) appear as a locked portrait in the Time Traveler screen even if you haven't unlocked them.

Might not be in the right place. You need to put "FTL Pilots" here (at least this is where it is on mine):
Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Into the Breach\mods\FTL Pilots

Ok, it was me who was doing things wrong, so the mod works now.

I kind of got lucky, afterall.

As far as I know, nobody in the modding community has figured out how to put a modded pilot in a secret pod. I can understand the confusion though.
